When trying to figure out the amount of insurance needed for your home, people often think they can use their home’s market value, a recent real estate valuation or purchase price. It’s a good question, since the amount of coverage that you need may not equal the market value of your cost.
We want to make your claims experience as seamless as possible, so you can repair, restore, and replace all of your home’s details in the event of a claim, without hassle and in as timely a manner as possible.
We offer an Extended Replacement Cost option, and when that coverage is included, we’ll extend coverage beyond the policy limits. If the cost to rebuild or restore your home after a loss exceeds the limits purchased. We will also pay for upgrades required to keep up with modern building codes, unlike some standard policies.
Essential coverage can be purchased up to a $250,000 limit and covers breakdown of your permanently-installed home equipment, including heating and cooling systems, appliances, water heaters, swimming pool equipment, well pumps, permanently-installed generators and transfer switches, and permanently-installed home automation and security systems.
Enhanced Coverage:
Go the Extra Mile
Enhanced coverage can be purchased up to a $500,000 limit and offers the same protection as Essential coverage, but if you have a Masterpiece® Contents policy, your protection extends to home equipment like personal computers, portable humidifiers, small countertop appliances, and more.
Your building’s policy (also referred to as your building’s master policy, building’s association insurance, or homeowner’s association insurance) will generally cover damage if something happens outside the walls of your condo—such as if a storm rips off the siding or a window is damaged. But if there’s damage to the inside of your home, you may be responsible for all or some of the damage. What your building’s policy will or will not cover can sometimes be subject to debate, with our carrier your unit is covered from the “walls in,” even if the building claims responsibility for structural elements.
By combining your insurance such as home and auto, or home and valuable articles, you may be eligible for considerable savings on your premium.
